Show Up and Write
The holiday season is upon us and in this busy time it is easy to deprioritize your creative practice among all the preparations. Setting aside one hour for writing will help you continue to make creative progress even while you are making memories. We will inspire you with prompts, practice writing together in silence, and then encourage each other by sharing our work. This holiday season, give yourself the gift of creative time.

How To Write A Memoir
Your life is rich with stories. Do you yearn to share them? Memoirs can be about any lived experience of discovery or transformation. Whether you want to write about your young childhood, adolescence, young parenthood, career exploration, midlife, retirement, or any adventure in-between, all you need is a desire to get your memories on the page. Writing down your memories is a powerful way to connect with others, and a precious part of your life story.
In this workshop we will explore memoir writing together. We will learn craft skills that will help make your stories shine with rich sensory detail, organized structure, and clear purpose. No previous writing experience necessary - just come with the desire to share your stories with others. Each week will include some instruction and group discussion, as well as practice time writing together with prompts and exercises. Everyone will have the opportunity to workshop your work and receive supportive feedback.

Nurture Your Creative Practice
Do you want to express yourself creatively but find you keep getting stuck? Do you struggle with perfectionism, self-doubt, or self-criticism? In this series of creative workshops inspired by Julia Cameron’s “The Artist’s Way” we will explore ways to bring freedom, nourishment, and productivity to your creative practice, including stream-of-consciousness journaling, play-based artist dates, permission slips, and affirmations. Together we will support each other in our individual writing activities (like NaNoWriMo?) to help keep momentum and nurture a practice that is fun and feels good.
